In short: you don't sign up, we don't track you, and what you tell us about yourself stays in your browser.

Your search

The people you're looking for — their sex, ages, marital status, education, income and race or ethnicity — and your own age travel to our server so it can build the page you asked for. We use them for that and nothing else, and we don't save them on our servers.

About you

Your own sex, your education and your race or ethnicity stay in your browser. They are never sent to us: not in a web address, a request, a cookie or any other way. Our server works out the figures for every possible answer, and your browser shows the ones that fit you. Your race or ethnicity is used only if you include it.

Your browser keeps these details so the site remembers them next time. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser's settings.

The cookie

One cookie, called dsa_prefs, remembers the rest of your search — the people you're looking for and your age, never your own sex, education or race — for up to 30 days, so the site can show your search again when you come back. You can delete it at any time in your browser's settings.

Our host

The site runs on a server we rent from Oracle Cloud. The server keeps no record of your visits — not your IP address, and not the pages you look at. Oracle's network carries traffic to and from it, and like any network it sees IP addresses, under Oracle's own privacy policy.

No tracking

There are no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers on this site, and no page loads anything from another company's servers. We don't sell or share personal data.

Race and sex

The race and sex details on this site are used only to work out the figures on the page you asked for. They never feed advertising, listings, referrals, or any housing, credit or job use.
